My love for exploration
The summer of 2018 brought me the greatest gift I’ve received yet: the chance to explore a few countries throughout Europe of my choosing. Given this opportunity, I picked four countries which are the homes to some of my favorite artworks throughout history: France, Switzerland, The Netherlands, and Germany. Quickly I found myself alone in the busy streets of Paris, in a knitting circle in Amsterdam, and sketching the joyful people of Ingolstadt. This trip opened up a new world of love for me: foods, art, night life, quiet afternoons, and relaxing lounges along riverside.
2020: The Wild Ride
As the world changed quickly due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, I shifted towards working at home. Eventually, Lyft laid off a massive portion of the workforce, including me. I’ve found myself trying all kinds of new avenues of keeping busy. Freelance graphic design and branding projects for emerging businesses, plenty of knitting, and an endless job hunt. While losing my job shifted my comfort zone, it pushed me towards working harder than I knew I could and finding new ways to stay ahead of the game while being creative.
