I’m Luke.

Luke Kushner here. I’m a creative thinking individual from the Los Angeles area, now living and growing in the San Francisco Bay Area. I’ve studied Marketing and Graphic Design at San Jose State University and am looking to leave my mark on the world. Be it corporate identity, brand development, strategy or t-shirt designs, I’m here to help see the visual and creative sides of a company or team flourish with vivid color. Outside of designing, I love to sketch and draw, knit, and explore as many avenues of creativity and making things as possible.

My love for exploration

The summer of 2018 brought me the greatest gift I’ve received yet: the chance to explore a few countries throughout Europe of my choosing. Given this opportunity, I picked four countries which are the homes to some of my favorite artworks throughout history: France, Switzerland, The Netherlands, and Germany. Quickly I found myself alone in the busy streets of Paris, in a knitting circle in Amsterdam, and sketching the joyful people of Ingolstadt. This trip opened up a new world of love for me: foods, art, night life, quiet afternoons, and relaxing lounges along riverside.

A LOVE FOR TRAVEL

Here, there, everywhere.

Staying in place

It’s easy staying in place in a place I want to stay in.

2020: The Wild Ride

As the world changed quickly due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, I shifted towards working at home. Eventually, Lyft laid off a massive portion of the workforce, including me. I’ve found myself trying all kinds of new avenues of keeping busy. Freelance graphic design and branding projects for emerging businesses, plenty of knitting, and an endless job hunt. While losing my job shifted my comfort zone, it pushed me towards working harder than I knew I could and finding new ways to stay ahead of the game while being creative.
